Founded in 1919, Building Stone Institute is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to serving its member firms while at the same time educating consumers on the uses and benefits of natural stone. The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), established in 1918, is the national trade association representing the concrete masonry industry. BIA is the national trade association representing distributors and manufacturers of clay brick and suppliers of related products and services. The Mason Contractors Association of America is the national trade association representing masonry contractors and suppliers in national legislative and political affairs, codes and standards composition, workforce development, education, market promotion and general industry advocacy.

The Masonry Institute of St. Louis promotes the use of masonry, masonry contractors and union bricklayers by serving as an educational and promotional resource for brick, stone, glass and concrete masonry products in commercial and residential markets.
